Ascent New Brunswick is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization whose primary goal is to acquire and preserve access to local climbing areas.
Ascent New Brunswick acknowledges that the land on which we climb is the traditional unceded territory of the Wabanaki people made up of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), Passamaquoddy and Mi’kmaq First Nations.
Established in 2013, Ascent NB has been able to secure access for climbers to many cliffs within New Brunswick. If you are a local climber then you should become a member to ensure continued access to our cliffs, many of which are on private land. For visitors to New Brunswick, membership will make your visit easier, as access to some of the cliffs has a complicated process unless you are a member.
Along with preserving access to the cliffs, Ascent NB also hosts the annual Welsford Rendezvous event.
